This position can be located any in the US near a major airport. Does include some travel.

Position Description:

  • This is a global leadership position. Must be able to work across time zone as needed.
  • Must be a player / coach. Able to support direct customer / partner activity and lead the team
  • In this key sales position, the Solutions Architect will be responsible for working with customers and being the solutions matter expert globally
  • Provide guidance to the sales manager for complex architectures, support customer workflows and configurations
  • Understand our customer's business and technical requirements for data management and storage
  • Design solutions and implementation as supporting technical sales to support our value-added reseller network
  • Create and present high-level technical presentations involving complex architectures and solutions

*Must be located near a major city with access to an international airport, estimated 50% travel

Requirements

  • Active in sales cycle from beginning to end, working with customer and channel partners
  • Proactively build and nurture partner relationships to effectively advance partner development
  • Meet regional sales financial objectives by maximizing partner activity to enable sales
  • Persuasively present and demonstrate SBDS products’ sales and technical attributes
  • Up to 40% travel to visit partners/customers in support of sales requirements, working closely with the support and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Engage directly with customers and quickly become their trusted advisor
  • Be able to roll up your sleeves when customers have detailed installation questions or operational issues
  • Understand and present detailed customer and industry feedback to the StrongBox executive team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must have experience working in a channel driven sales model
  • Minimum 5 years of technical sales or pre-sales experience
  • Specialization in leading NAS and SAN solutions, AWS architectures, active archive architectures, HSM solutions or other equivalent storage system expertise
  • Confidence explaining file migration, archive solutions and technical features without relying on engineering support in early meeting stages
  • Excellent communications skills: verbal and written
  • Confident, polished, and effective presentation skills
  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent highly preferred
  • Storage Solutions Architect or equivalent experience working as a member of a professional services, or systems engineering team in a customer-facing role
  • Able to designed and present SOW, RFP and architecture diagrams
